Retired couple receives new HVAC system in Oregon
A retired couple in Beaverton received a new heating system valued at sixteen thousand dollars through a community partnership program.
Diane and Brian Johnsen faced financial strain while trying to keep up their mortgage payments during difficult times recently. Their wife worked three separate jobs to ensure the family could afford their monthly housing bills.
The existing equipment in their home could not be repaired anymore, forcing them to seek a replacement option immediately. They requested assistance from the Lennox Feel the Love program which provides essential home improvements for free to qualifying families.
Aviator Heating and Cooling installed the complete new system including a thermostat at no cost to the homeowners. Local contractors performed the labor while the program covered the value of the expensive new equipment.
Photos show the aging furnace replaced by energy efficient equipment that will serve the couple well into retirement. This initiative has helped over three thousand families since the program began in the year two thousand nine.
“We were ecstatic.”
