PANORAMA builds Global conservation Solutions database
PANORAMA has created a large database of nearly two thousand conservation solutions that people worldwide can adapt and use anywhere.
Over ten years, this platform gathered entries from more than thirteen hundred contributors to share local environmental successes with the world. The system structures each entry as an adaptable building block that practitioners elsewhere can apply to their own specific contexts.
The database now hosts one thousand eight hundred ninety seven documented solutions from thirteen twenty seven organizations across eleven thematic communities. These entries align with major global directives to support international sustainability commitments and environmental goals.
Recent additions show how pastoral communities in Mongolia built climate-resilient infrastructure using risk assessments to identify optimal locations for hay storage facilities. Another example describes how five East African nations created a shared report to improve water quality for over forty five million people.
A multi-stakeholder partnership in Ethiopia restored Lake Hawassa by uniting public authorities and private companies to implement nature-based solutions effectively. This success moved to full government control and became part of national rules for restoring water bodies nationwide today.
